I'm a decidedly plus-sized American woman living abroad in China, wearing clothes, and trying my hand at fatshion blogging.

This is the fabric market.  The lady browsing is one of my lovely friends.  The fabric market is a giant two floor warehouse of everything.  I’d never be able to clearly capture it in a photo.  This particular bit of it had a nice assortment of patterns, though, so here you go.

❀ about me. ❀

BASICS:

name: Elisabeth Harker, but not really
age: 28
birthday: May 6th (So really close to 29)
zodiac: taurus
single or taken: single
height: 5’4
eye color: grey
middle name: Rose (really this time.)
favorite color: red, pink
lucky number: 606 (I’ve used it in a lot of screen names for a long long time.)

SPECIFICS/DETAILS:

hogwarts house: Probably Hufflepuff, but I’ve not put a lot of thought into this important question
favorite fictional characters: Alfred from Tanz der Vampire, Jo March and Nan from the Little Women series, David Jacobs in Newsies
favorite television show:  Game of Thrones
favorite season:  Fall, even if it only lasts for two days a year
describe yourself in a few words: cheerful, diligent, creative
meaning of your name: Elisabeth is the title character in Elisabeth the musical.  She’s an empress who falls in love with Death, and it’s great.  Harker refers to Jonathan Harker from Dracula.  The names sounded good together, and like something a real person might be called.
ultimate otp: Right now it’s David/Jack from Newsies.  It used to be Jo/Laurie from Little Women, but I’ve decided he’s not good enough for her.
what do you plan to/do for a living: Teach English as a foreign language.
starbucks order:  Americano

THIS OR THAT:

introvert or extrovert:  I used to be an extrovert, but I think that my job uses up all of my extroversion, so by the time I get home at the end of the day I’m introverted as hell.
dawn or dusk:
Dawn.  I get up at 4 or 5 AM most mornings (My brain doesn’t function in the evening, and I have work to do.  Extreme morning person)
righty or lefty: righty
coffee or tea: Coffee
rain or shine:  rain when I’m sleeping, but shine at all other times
reading or writing: I go through phases of both.  I’ve been in writing for a while.

Your roots are showing! Are you going to keep dying?

Eventually I think.  I like the red hair.  Going to the salon unfortunately takes two hours, minimum (plus walking there and back and stuff).  Time isn’t a commodity I have a lot of, so I’m going to go through a lot of extreme roots showing phases.

My friend and I went to the “Alive Museum” last weekend.  We literally had no idea what it was when we paid for the tickets.  Turns out it’s a bunch of interesting backgrounds on which to take photos of yourself.

Custom made dress and coat.  Oh, and I cut my hair.  Kind of regret it, but this picture was taken during the first couple hours after the big chop, when it was still fun.

Custom made dress, admittedly not the first time it’s shown up here.

You mentioned a hammer head shark dress in your last post and I tried finding it but I can't. I love sharks so I'm just really interested in seeing it if you wouldn't mind putting out a link or reblogging it. Thank you :) Also, I love how you wear everything and jut embrace who you are. You go girl!

Thanks for the nice comments!  Here is the shark dress.

Does your weight make it hard to find bras that fit? All the girls in my family are 'well endowed' and finding cute, well-fitting bras and swimsuits can be a real challenge.

I’m actually an A cup (I’m rather oddly shaped.  Big everywhere but there.).  My band size is a bit big (36), but not that difficult to find.
